Post a list of dealers attending -- I'm starting to develop the Bob Storms attitude of, if I can sit in my house and buy off the internet and from dealers I trust, why am I spending a whole day at a show to look at high priced and overgraded stuff -- my collectors' side of his take on his opinions on things like the Pittsburgh show problems.

However, I'll also come check the show out if there's another reason for me to be in NYC that weekend...

Bob who?

All guests and dealers will be announced closer to the show. There will be more comic books of all ages. Guaranteed. Our show is a comic book collector's show.

We cater to the majority who buy them more for the reading than the slabbing. We are also bringing in a higher percentage of women and children than the average comic book show. Most collectors like to cut down on the middle men and buy direct at the show where they can view the actual books. Not all comic book dealers are as trustworthy as Mr. Storms but I think that you are aware of this.

Where else are you going to get a good corned beef sandwich? confused-smiley-013.gif

that's sort of true on the corned beef sandwich. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif.

anyway, I totally understand your target audience, but for me -- if I'm going to go all the way up there -- need to see books I might potentially buy...

did you attend local Philly show this past weekend? how was it?

I will announce the complete guest and dealer list before the show May 7th and there will many more comics of all ages. It will be hard to bring in the bigger dealers for a one day for the same reasons as the guests. Time is valuable and everyone wants the bigger bang. But New York is a big place and people go to shows for different reasons.

Philly was fun as always and Derek does a good job with the show. It was the biggest crowd that I have seen at the Ramada. It's too bad that gas

expenses eat up way too much of the profit if you do not have a million dollar inventory of Gold and Silver books.

Hey I just wanted to say i wound up getting the admission pass for 2. I really appreciate that you did that. Good luck with the show. It sounds like it will be a good one.

Glad to hear it. We are still giving out passes to first time attendees. thumbsup2.gif

I have been told that there is a real good Mexican restaurant near the Holiday Inn.

Anybody know what it is?

with three briefs due on Monday and Tuesday and an insane oral argument in federal court on wed., I just can't justify going, which ticks me off, because I was really in the mood. At least I still have the stuff from the hilton show and am still playing with that to keep me occupied for a while.
