So, in other words, you use this place as a way to pimp out your auctions without ever contributing to any of the other discussions going on.

well if all you want to do is promote your auctions, why not post to marketplace newsgroups. There are several that apply to ebay and comics you could use. If you're not going to contribute to the discussion board community other than to promote your auctions, your 'hawking' will be falling on deaf ears.
