By the way, I am doing my own 12-step program. It goes like this...

 

1. Acquire all BA DC war books in 9.0 - 9.4

2. Acquire all Silver Age Sgt. Rock Appearances in 7.0 or better.

3. Acquire all Silver Age Haunted Tank Appearances in 7.0 or better.

4. Acquire all DC war Russ Heath interior art jobs

5. Acquire all DC War Kubert interior art jobs

6. Acquire all DC war greytone covers.

7. Acquire all other DC greytone covers.

8. Acquire a Sam Glanzman 'Battle Album'

9. Acquire all Russ Heath pre-code Atlas war covers

10. Acquire a Joe Kubert DC war cover.

11. Acquire a complete Norman Maurer Medal of Honor Story

12. Acquire a complete Sam Glanzman USS Stevens story.

 

Then.... I'll be all better!

I am sure this is a longshot, but does anyone have any copies of these for sale? Nice centering and color strike are a must, but technical grade isn't that important as long as it's VG/VG+ or better.

Mine sometimes do, but in general they fail miserably for me too. I have yet to see a nice Tomahawk come from one of my postings.

The only one on that list that probably won't come true is #10 - the Kubert cover. I don't think I'll ever be in a position to justify $3000 - $4000 for a piece of OA. Only way it will ever happen is if the Kubert school sells a bulk of their collection - and I don't think that's ever going to happen.

 

Otherwise, the BA books are almost done; the Rock and HT appearances are 90% done; The Heath are jobs are 70% done; the Kubert art jobs are about 60% done; the DC war greytones are very close - about 5 away; other greytone covers is a much longer road - only have a dozen or so, and I don't have a complete list... does one even exist?; Heath precodes are halfway there; and the Battle Album, USS Stevens and MOH artwork are all definitely doable if I take a long view.

 

Realistically, it's all doable over the next 5 or 6 years. Just going to take my time.
