Someone get a great bargain?

I'm not a golden age collector but I thought this Famous Funnies 3 (CGC 6.5 Unrestored) would have gone for much more on ebay.

I wonder what it's full potential will be when it goes up for sale again via a Heritage Auction?

I can think of 3 reasons why it didn't go higher...

 

[*]1 = Does not specify Bucks 1st appearance on the label.

[*]C = Buck is not on the cover.

The seller did nicely with that book. He bought it a short time ago on ebay unslabbed for 1300 or so. He also bought the 1 and 2 from the same person as well. All can be seen in his feedback rating.

I don't think it will get much higher, there are too many color breaking stress marks on the spine. If you actually look at the book pre-cgc, it looks like the seller may have already taken it to it's max potential. It looks like it had a spine roll in it pre cgc.
