Art Year!

12 posts in this topic

Finally got around to updating my gallery with some of my 2006

aquisitions. It's been a really good year so far... and it's young. I

could be happy just with these 4 pieces in my collection if I had to

settle on 4 that is. Anyway, check em out- they each mean alot to me.

In fact, one of them is my favorite cover from my favorite storyline

of all time... Thanks to Albert Moy, Bechara Malouf, Jim Woodall and

Bill Woo for 4 fun and easy deals!

Great pickups Dan...every single one worth the sacrifices you have been making lately. You have a great eye.

Dan, FANTASTIC stuff. I already left a comment on that Cap page.

The Spidey cover brings back a ton of memories -- one of the original Spideys that my brother bought as a kid and passed on to me. I must've read and re-read that comic a million times, especially in the back of our family truckster station wagon en route to our annual summer vacations.

You've got some truly exceptional pieces, man! 893applaud-thumb.gifhail.gifthumbsup2.gifheadbang.gif

Hey Dan --

Wonderful pieces! Great images of the characters.

Congrats Dan,

The Avengers 117 is classic and the ASM cover is not too shabby either.

Question for Drummy. That FF treasury cover that is your avatar. Why is the back ground black. Was it ink that way originally? Obviously the published cover was white.

Hey Clem --

The Treasury art is inked that way on the vellum. Not sure why they went that route...maybe it was easier to get the white to look right? Whatever the reason, I'm delighted they did it that way since it makes the OA cover look awesome.
