Forum Dinner for Heroe's anyone?

90 posts in this topic

It is looking like Friday night around 7:30-8:00.

The commoon resteraunt theme is UNO's.

Is this kosher with everyone?

Hey guys, for the Raleigh contingent that makes for a late night drive back from Charlotte. I completely understand that the sellers need to stay at the con until it closes at 7:00, and no way am I saying you all need to plan exclusively around us. But maybe we could have this be a rolling event, with the first shift arriving at 5:30 or so? Then hopefully there would be a short overlap around 7:30 or so when most of the forumites are together before some of us head back towards the Triangle.

I'd also be in the early contingent. How 'bout Buttock? Nerf? Any other triangle forum members heading down on friday? confused-smiley-013.gif

I just finalized plans. I'll be there Friday PM and Sat. I'm down for dinner anywhere. I typically avoid chains, but UNOs would be family friendly. I'm bringing the 2 year old, so keep your books off the floor.

Banner, I think you should go late, drink a lot, and then drive home even later - I'll bring some documents to sign so your books will be well cared for. insane.gifinsane.gif

BTW, anyone have any $$ they want me to use? sorry.gif

Just wondering...do we have a list of the vendors that will be there? I need to synch up with them and see if they are bringing anything of interest I would need....

Sterling - you would have to check with Shelton - we usually find out when we get the email we print out that authorizes our entry into the loading dock at the show.

That usually doesn't arrive until the Tuesday or Wednesday the week of the show.

Here are the particulars

Ok -- I'm going to be all over the place at the con. Check in over Paul's booth (where he's selling glasses) from time to time and we can try to hook up for dinner.

I am SO envious of you guys.I've been to Heroe's twice, set up a table in the early 90's(great sales),and went a few years ago as a collector and had a great show.Charlotte is such a beautiful, clean city. You'll see several dealers who don't set up in the north or the west.GOD BLESS...

In general the roads and streets have somewhat degraded over the last 6 years. Not that many notice since most people who move here leave within 3 years. It's still clean by most people's standards, I guess. confused-smiley-013.gif

Out of morbid curiosity I'm going to the show today, but I will hit up selective targets and be on my way. I'm sending my cell to some of you in case I'm around so we can chat for a few.
