For those asking about what New Frontier is:

 

It was a mini-series by Darwyn Cooke that chronicled the history of the DC Universe from the 1940s to the 1960s or so. Great art, great story, and well worth reading either in the original form, the TPB, or in Absoulte form. I'm now contemplating the TPBs for my easy-access for reading bookshelf.

 

Darwyn is one of my favorites nowadays. Looking forward to the Batman/Spirit team-up.

Not to mention he's also a really nice guy. I met him in Vegas a few years ago and enjoyed talking to him. He's got a real passion for "old school" comic art and story telling.
