but I really think it's an 8.0 because of the light chipping at the top.

A heck of a lot better than my DD #4, that is for sure. I would say 7.5 for the chipping and stress on the spine.

The Grading Bastiche says ...... CGC 6.5. Lots of Spine Breaks, Tanning on Back Cover and Front Spine.

pretty large gap from 6.5-8.5...I'll post the answer later on this afternoon...keep those guesses coming!!!

Page quality may make a difference. FN/VF 7.0 if the tanning doesn't translate into poor page quality.

Structurally it's a 7.5/8.0, but I sense the tanning may have dinged it. The tanning looks fairly severe and I suspect the chips in the top edge are a direct result of brittleness... so CGC SHOULD have reduced the grade due to this.

I tend to think that CGC is generally more generous with this book.

No water damage to the book...pages were cream to off-white...

They killed me on the tan edges...before submitting I thought 7.5

Graders notes were color breaking spine dings and burnt edges

I was thoroughly dissapointed in the grade...presents better than a 6.0

I feel your pain!

I subbed an Avengers 17 that had the look of a 9.0 but a name written on the inside back cover and light tanning (really light tanning) made it drop down to a 7.0
