I know it's a low grade copy. I'm hoping that it might possibly be around G/VG range. Bottom of the book looks like it may have had some water damage, but it doesn't smell and it's not wrinkled, so I don't know for sure.

Okay a couple of questions, 1) Is the cover still attached? 2) What's the Page quality(I'm curious).

I'd probably go GD+ rather than G/VG, but the upside is that the cover image is very nice. Now, go and fold back those corners--they're making me cringe

Yes. Top staple is a little loose. Bottom staple is secure. Centerfold is still attached as well.

 

2) What's the Page quality(I'm curious).

 

Cream pages, not tan.

The colors on the cover are really bright and vibrant.

 

This is the first Golden Age book I have ever bought by the way and I'm starting to see why so many forum members love them so much.

Knowing that info, The Grading Bastiche says.....GD/VG. Fits in about right but those corners need smothing. If it weren't for the fact that this book isn't particularly rare or valuable, I would say excellent candidate for cleaning/pressing. But that would only bring the book to VG status, I suppose.

I would say 3.0. You could get it into 3.5 with a little work...

solid 2.5 - borderline 3.0 with the corner folded back.

I'd have to say on the verge of 3.5(if corners are folded back).What an iconic cover shot.GOD BLESS...
