Tough book. If I had one that nice I would never want to upgrade.

Very nice, Mr. Billy - dibs if you ever upgrade, please.

noted; but it's a tuff one--I think this is the only one I've seen for sale in the 5 yrs or so I've been a fox-thru-7/40 completist.

The Larson was out there a while back too (auction), but I don't know what happened to it.

I noticed that green guy on the Wonderworld cover is also on Science 4. He probably wonders why there are so many people interfering with his work. Are they quality control or what?

Science 4 was published first, i.e., listed as May 1940, then WW in July 1940 (or two months earlier in both cases). I thought Science was by Simon and WW by Fine but could be both by Simon.

I think the green skull guy on Science #4 (Simon) is a swipe of the green skull guys on Wonderworld #7 (Fine).

For that matter, Simon was a talented guy but I think we've found that nearly every halfway-polished character on his 1940-41 Fox covers was swiped from some other comic or pulp cover. Maybe he just had to pump out too many covers way too quickly.

Good luck with the run! It's a great one, lots of killer covers throughout.
