Guess the CGC grade part 2: a pedigree and an LB Cole

The Grading Bastiche says....9.2(Dare Devil) and 9.0(Jungle Comics).

And I've stumped the boards! Both of these came back with the CGC grade I had predicted (with the distinct advantage of grading the books in person).

 

The DD5 was graded by SNE originally as a NM-. In addition to the pre-chip and written name, it has a slightly weak LRFC that is not visible from the scan.

 

 

 

This one is gorgeous, with just slight wear along with spine at the staples. The ragged right edge of the back cover is a production defect, and not due to wear.

I wanted to give that DD a 9.0 but CGC is darn lenient to Marvels with chipping I bumped it up a notch. Well, at least I got the Jungle right.

1 for 2..only off by half a grade on the Terrors of the Jungle. (No doubt I would have been right on seeing them in person.)

Man, I missed out here.

 

I had them at 8.5/9.0.

 

I thought CGC would take off a bit more for that chipping + the writing.
