PGM TOS # 49 raw copy

Pretty tight little book with WOW PQ. No interior issues. Whisper of a spine roll but it doesn't impact how even the pages line up at the edge.

That is lower than I have it graded. Could you elaborate on what defects bring it down that much in your eyes?

The spine, the top and the Upper right hand corner. What did you think the grade was?

I have it as a solid 5.0/5.5

 

When a comic looks as clean as this with no major defect like a big crease, tear or otherwise how can you go VG? VG allows tape, 1" spine split etc... this has moderate spine edgewear and the cover itself has nice gloss for this grade. The edges of the book are also nice. The interior pages are very very nice.

 

It may be nicer in hand than a scan but I would think something major jumped out to drop to a 4.0

I was wavering between 4.0 and 4.5. Like David said, that's too much spine wear for a 5.0.

From the scans posted, I'll say 4.5. If the book is glossy and those staples are clean then maybe a 5.0. Solid book.
