I suspect these books are overgraded, looking for opinions. The structure of this RANDOM HOUSE FILE COPY is great as far as corners go, my concern is the spine stress. This copy has at least 4 small CBC and at least 2-3 small NCBC on the spine. In addition, and I don't know if you can see it in the scan, there is a small loss of ink (abrasion or wear?) on the spine where the top "pink" is on the GK logo. It looks like the contrast was jacked on the original scan from which I judged the grade. Everything else is what it appears. The book presents well but I'm looking for CGC candidates.

No, both were advertised as 9.4s. IMHO, these are probably 9.2s. I suspect if you had these in hand you would see the "extra" problems that don't translate into the scan. Rule of thumb for me is MAX 2 spine problems, and more or less everything else has to be perfect. These have way to many nicks on the spine to be true 9.4 but the corners and everything else is great.

Yeah, 9.4s are a longshot on these two. Still cool books though. Maybe you can work out a partial refund with the seller?
