Kavalier and Clay??

Anyone know where Hollywood stand on the movie version of "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay"??................I thought this was on a fast track a couple of years ago, but haven't heard anything about it in a while......it was a great book....well the first 2/3 of it at least....started to drag a little towards the end.

I loved the book, and am eagerly awaiting the film...

The director, Stephen Daldry, is a Brit whose directorial credits include "Billy Elliott" and "The Hours," so he'll no doubt do a solid job. Of course it all depends on the screenplay...
