Wait wow.  Is there at least some semblance of a reason?   A 9.2 ASM#3 (granted, CBCS) sold earlier tonight in the same venue for $17,257.  Even treating it like a 9.0 means an ASM#11 went for more than DOUBLE an ASM#3 in the same grade?   It can't be about Brant, so I must be missing something?

Very, very low number of copies in 9.0

But prior to tonight's sale, those low numbers never resulted in relative valuations approaching this.  Two years ago, a 9.0 went for about double an 8.0.  Well, an 8.0 very recently sold for $3250.   Repeat:  $3250!  That 9.0 sold for more than TEN times that!   This is bizarre.

I wasn't aware of it!   It just ended at $52K.  Was that more/less than expected?  How to value a 9.9...in this case, there are 3 on census.

I'm wondering if a 9.9 sold previously hm..  Don't really know how to value such a rarity!! Well, at least it beat out the Transformers #1 CGC 9.9 that sold earlier this year for $44k
