I'll trade you Rich's 8.5 SC22 for that book !!!!!!

(And I'll throw in a 6.0 with WPs !)

Trade an Amazing Spider-Man for a crappy DC book? I'm mostly a Marvel guy, so help me out here, what's up with that book--James Rhodes' 8th appearance? Thirteenth reintroduction of Green Lantern? First appearance of Spunky the Super-Cat? I forget... :baiting:

Do you also have some wheat pennies you'd like to trade for my gold bullion? :baiting:

Is ASM #119-120 good (artwork and story)? I love the covers and considered buying them.

Art was Romita in 119 and Kane and Romita in 120, so yeah, it was good. I always liked Romita better than Kane, and Romita was really in his prime during this period (see ASM 108, 109).

The story is good, not great IMHO. It really leads into some bigger storylines with Peter going to Canada to met with a lawyer about an urgent topic. Spidey ends up fighting the Hulk, but it's not one of those underdog wins stories. He's clearly mismatched, and it's more about survival.

Alright, guys and gals, a plug for the Bronze Comics sub-forum and "Bronze Spideys" in particular. I just got a tad long-winded about all manner of things regarding ASM #151...so, if anyone's interested, hop on over there and check it out. Pardon this brief interruption into the Silver Age world of ASM. Okay, here's a connection. The Shocker first appeared in a Silver Age ASM. Shocker in ASM #151. :shy:

Wow, that is one nice 4.5 :o

What is dragging it down? Back cover issues?

Yes unfortunately. It has a small piece missing (top left corner).But...since I dont collect high grades and didn't pay a ton of $$ ..I'm happy with it :acclaim:

I listed some of the most difficult ASM in HG per Census in another thread, so I thought I'd compile all issues 1-100...there are only two 9.9s, one #19 and one #73 so I'm just listing for grades 9.8 - 9.6 - 9.4...for some reason Census lists no data for issue #7 (?) Numbers seem to support #45 and #33 are warehouse finds...

(I tried to import the excel spreadsheet is a cleaner format but couldn't figure out how to do it (shrug)

Got a chance to scan my recent Spidey acquisitions besides the #1:

Spidey45_small.jpg Spidey56_small.jpg Spidey61_small.jpg Spidey69_small.jpg Spidey73_small.jpg

Spidey82_small.jpg Spidey88_small.jpg Spidey95_small.jpg Spidey97_small.jpg Spidey114_small.jpg

Those are utterly sick. And your sig line is way over the top. Holy man. :headbang:

Oh man...the hill I have to climb just turned into a MOUNTAIN! :o(worship)

Not to mention a guy named fantastic four has a way better Spidey collection than me... :frustrated:

That's OK...I collect FF too... :headbang:

A couple of recent additions that I haven't had a chance to post yet... Perfectly centered, white pages and only a few minor defects that bring down the grade. Just the way I like them! ;)

A beautiful ASM #30 courtesy of Worldwide.

A sharp ASM #55 that I picked up from A-1 on eBay...
