Off hand, this must be one of only a few SA Spideys  having a splash that largely mirrors the cover?   Also, unlike in other early issues, the violet in Spidey's costume in the splash (sorry for the older darker scan of the splash) and remaining pages of this book differs from the blue we usually see!  Didn't notice that before, or more likely just forgot.

QUESTION ?

My friend owns an LCS and picked up an OO Collection from a lady named Jeanne Keating, a physicist at NASA. Her books didn't go way back but started mid 60ish. Anyway, there was an ASM 40 that was folded and stapled backwards during production. The first page is the centerfold, and the splash page is in the centerfold. Would something like that have any premium associated ? The book looks to be a slam dunk 8.5 otherwise. GOD BLESS....

Where do you guys usually go to try and get some ASM silver age books? I’ve been on the hunt for issues 121 and 122 but have had some difficulty.

Although neither of the books you reference are Silver Age (they are Bronze), there is a thread of "Silver Age Dealers" in this forum.  If you go to the last page, there is an updated list with links.  These vendors will have Bronze Age books along with Silver Age.  I have personally purchased books like the ones you're seeking from ComicLink, MyComicShop, Reese's Rare Comics, Superworld, Dale Roberts and Four Color Comics with good success as far as fair grading and reasonable pricing.
