now that the asm silver annuals are all certified, i guess i'll send in the 5 raw ff annuals this week.   here they be; been raw in the ol' collection many a year.  a "9" on front is my desire, and obviously those first couple are going to fall short.   kj's fave comic, the 6, might grade out pretty high.

I’m terrible at guessing how a book will grade, but I’ll say 9.2. My concern is that lower left corner.

I bought this many years ago in New York.

Found no comics I wanted at the comic stores there and I was wanting to buy at least one comic in New York.

So went to Metropolis collectibles office and asked for a FF annual 1.

I sold my copy years before and wanted to replace it with a nicer one 👍

I’m really happy with my #2 and #3.  At one point I was thinking I’d upgrade my #6 but I waited too long.

I have a couple more Silver Age FF's coming from Boardies in the next couple of weeks, and have really appreciated the chance to upgrade some of the issues I bought as a kid when I didn't think too much about quality or the best way to treat comics.  Alas!  Additionally, I have also really liked seeing all the Annuals posted in the thread.  For some reason, I never sought those out - I didn't buy a single Silver Age Annual during my first primary collecting years in the 70s.  Crazy, but probably pretty typical of the way a kid thinks (or doesn't think).

Anyway, I'm enjoying the thread and the site.  Here again is the "oldest" FF I have - well-loved and a little beat up.  I expect it's 40+ year reign at that pole position is not going to last too much longer.
