I doubt there are many runs that compete with FF #45 - #60 for long-lived new characters, creativity and mind-blowing story-lines. As an adult, it's just astounding. Stan used to opine about Marvel's story-telling bringing comics more respectability as an art form and right here Jack made it happen.

70s purchase and "downgrade" with some coupon cuts received as a "freebie."

I’d extend your range of issues to include Gorgon (44), Blastarr (62), The Sentry and The Kree (64), and Him (67).

There are many comic book fans who don’t care for Jack Kirby’s art. But I’ve never heard anyone deny that, at his peak, the man was an unequaled generator of ideas. 

The longer I live, the more I appreciate innovation.

Thought the same thing when I read his post. Gotta have 44 in there.
