Congratulatios, welcome to the club! We'll have to find a secret handshake;-)

So, what's your favourite cover? I'm partial to 146, 159, and 167.

For me 161 stands out.

For me it's #136 :baiting:

Ironicly, easily the worst cover has to be #135 doh!

136 may be the hardest to find in grade, but I don't like it much.

There are lots of great covers in the later part of the run, and not just the terrific Sterankos. I am fond of the Dr. Strange covers done by Dan Adkins that have a cool pop-art sensibility.

Avengers #4 is overrated! This is really Cap's first SA app.

Ok, so the Acrobat used red trunks instead of blue..You can tell that Kirby was excited to do this -- as the art is way above the norm of his typical Torch stories.

Ok, did anyone see what this went for recently on Heritage... there are 6 of these in 9.6, and you can pick up a 9.4 for $350, or there abouts.

So I was thinking it would be in the $600-700 range.... but oh-no sirree......

What about this:

http://www.comiclink.com/./auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fsearch%2Easp%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dstrange%2Btales%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F774820&id=774820

Strange Tales 135, CGC 9.2 = $1,900 with 35 bids and still more than four days left in the auction. :o

GPA high is $975 from December and the previous high is $600. There are only 5 sales ever over $400. Are white pages really worth that much? (shrug)

Up to $2,300 with 9 hours to go. More than twice the previous GPA high and 4 times the second highest sale.

That one is an unattributed Green River copy, but still...

Offered this one for sale on the boards 9 months ago for $450, and got no takers (wound up selling it to a dealer):

I just received an E-mail from an expert on Green River Pedigree books

and he wanted me to inform you all that the Strange Tales 135 ending

on CLink tonight is not a Green River Pedigree.

PM me if you want details.

Thanks.

Would that expert be our old friend Red Hook? hm
