Here's a tough one for me. I picked this one up on Ebay for 15$ shipped a few years ago but there is one major flaw, six ink marks on the front cover. The ink does not penetrate to the inside cover, and the pen left no indentions on the cover. So, my obvious question is; how does this one grade out with the marks? thanks

For me personally, the book is defaced. I have a hard time giving it a 4.0 and I have a hard time giving it a 2.0, that being said . . . it's a nice reader copy.

Actual grade - hard to say - but I'd value it about the same as a 2.5 copy - so I guess that's the grade.

With the marks, I'd say no better than 2.0 - 2.5 from me. It's a shame because without them, it would go much higher.

It's too nice to get a 2.0. Substantial writing is a characteristic of books in the 1.5-2.5 range, but there are also usually a host of other defects along with the markings.

 

I would say 3.5.
