i recently bought a family circle magazine from october 25th 1940. i was told it was possibly superman's first magazine cover. the magazine is in good shape. i didn't pay much for it, but i was wondering if anyone has any info. i saw it on ebay once for $300, which is WAYYYYYY more than i paid.

btw.....this is not the seller i bought it from, just a link to one i found on ebay.

I have a copy of the 1940 Look Magazine. I wouldn't pay $205 for it, but it's pretty cool! 2-page Siegel/Shuster Superman story that shows him stopping Hitler and Stalin (before America was allies with the USSR), plus a 1-page news feature on Jerry and Joe themselves. There's a photo showing kids at a newsstand, and you can just barely make out Action #18 & Superman #2 on the racks. I'll try to scan it sometime.

That is really cool. I want to buy one now. It will be worth a fortune in about 10 years. But I want to frame and seal one for my study.
