Astonishing X-Men # 17

.....Just what the is going on here!?!?!?? Is there anyone else that feels that they missed

 

somthing when you read this. A little help here........ please .

Prof. X's sister is a weird gal with mental powers.

She not really there physically, probably just a mental projection.

She's actually in the pod(yep, the slimey mess).

 

She's messing with all of the X-Men's heads(#17 had a great

cover for all the Wolvie haters...it would have been even greater if

the cover had been wrap-around and the back cover showed a wee puddle

of wee below the scared Wolvie).

She's tricking Kitty into freeing her....

 

Meanwhile we find out that Emma is or is not the real White Queen as

a 2nd WQ shows up. The Non-Emma is the one being plugged by Scottie,

in a way unlike he had been plugging Emma earlier, at the end of the book.

 

Plus there is the space dude...who's teamed up with Danger(the now

alive, danger room) to take down the supposed X-Man who is destined to

destroy his home planet(it seems that Colossus is the current culprit...but

that may be subject to change in the future, right?.

 

And it looks like Lockheed, Kitty's little dragon, is the spy for the space guys.

 

Sorry, but that's all I can come up with from just using my memory of the issue.

Emma did some mental mojo on him in the last two previous issues...kind of like

a mental block of some kind. He was supposed to be near insane last issue...so

I guess he got better(maybe he thought he was a newt?)

Scott used the gun on the 2nd White Queen, aka, Non-Emma.

He had been using his other "gun" on Emma for many months now.

 

Basically it looks like more retconning is in the works.

Yes this is why I made this post, it's as if we are being taken on some type of "MInd -Game or Head Trip

Yup. Definitely. My favorite panels in this ish were when the beer can falls on his head. He picks it up, stares at it, and seems to have a moment of clarity. Look for him to tear s#!t up in #18!
