A 7.5 Superman #1 would break 195k easily ! Do you have any idea how RARE Superman # 1 is in that grade.................

The book is overgraded in my opinion. It looks like there is paper missing by the torches foot, similar defect near the NOV. Missing paper like that and the general wear would put it more in the 7.5, 8.0 on a good day. Again, just my opinion.

I feel the same way, there are far to many "pieces" missing from the cover and corners to grade this 8.5

 

Even if the "pieces" aren't "chunks" they are still on the surface missing.

Also, the staple creases are pretty hefty.

 

Granted, it's a fantastic example of a book that most of us will never own!
