I couldn't believe how much this copy of Action Comics #242 just sold for. I know, that It's the highest graded copy, but gees.

I've had a heck of a time finding the grade/price sweet spot for a mid-grade X-Men #28. Banshee??? I guess the issue was important enough to get a special edition reprint, but Banshee has always seemed to be a 2nd or 3rd tier character to me. It's as if anything related to the All New, All-Different days is highly collectible for some reason.

 

I've found the surrounding issues at prices I could live with, but it looks like I'll have to break the bank for this one, which I'm resisting because I don't care two hoots about Banshee's first appearance. I kick myself frequently for being too slow on the restored VF Bob Storms had up for $10.
