YEA! I haven't been to the local big-show in awhile... I'm due thumbsup2.gif

 

I couldn't find anything on-line re. this one, nor did I get a mailer?

 

I was at Queen City Friday to drop off my consignment book and he ran out of flyers.

From what he says it looks like it's going to be jammed packed...

And none of your UASM were there either unless you wanted to pay $30 for a VF-NM issue 5 Butters.

Almost no Golden Age. tongue.gif

 

Nice supply of SA/BA both Marvel and DC including many early keys.

If you like paying 70%-100% of guide for raw mid/low end high grade though.

The 50% SA off guy had mostly beaters and no keys or early books. boo.gif

 

Big supply of moderns and trades and toys.

Nobody carried much Image or Ultimate Marvel stuff outside of UASM.

But damn, no USM's eh? I guess $30 isn't that bad for a USM 5, I mean, i've seen fruiter prices on Ebay.

I too live in Rochester and used to travel the hour or so for this con every year (sometimes twice a year). Attendence and selection has waned over the years which is sad. If I recall, about the only dealers that would make the show worthwhile were Harley Yee (sometimes a bigger show kept him away), Nelson Dodds, and North Coast Nostalgia (?). A lot of toys at this show which I'm not into.

Aces, was right... lots of toys (ugh), crazy CGC prices (duh) and a lower attendance (sad-sad).

 

Sadly, no real guest artists either... just local and small-press guys, but nothing too spectacular crazy.gif.

 

I was pleased though as I was able to score some great SA & BA readers on the cheap - YEA cloud9.gif!
