CGC slabs are they UV protective?

No. I don't think so. an interesting idea though.

So they are incased but not protected against UV light mm. I was thinking that they would be, the CGC case are nice to display on my wall guess that kills that idea.

I'm pretty sure the CGC slab does not contain any UV filter hence why so many of us buy them and then store them away in the dark. If you want to display them, there are CGC frames with UV filtering glass available. I think Bill Cole sells them. Otherwise you can photocopy the front of the slabbed comic and frame that on your wall.
