Printers creases

Will CGC grade a book that is otherwise NM but has those non color breaking printers creases on front & back cover- as a NM?

as far as I know, CGC does not consider "printers creases" as defects,. at least up to a certain grade,. like 9.4/9.6 or so,.. of course FFB would be able to tell you for certain..

 

but that's been my experience.. hope this helps.

I've had several CGC 9.8's with the creases. I believe that is the cutoff point though.

Would anyone be so kind as to post a couple scans of said printer creases on books. I would love to see some solid examples of this to better judge if some of my SAs have printer creases or something worse.

Here is a book that is commonly found with this printer's crease across the front cover....there is no break in colour. You can see the creases across the book starting at the right edge at the blurb "THOR". One in the word,and one under it.
