Here are some stats for you:

Last GPA recorded sale of a 9.8 was in April 03 for $27. I don't know how many 9.8 copies were known to exist back then, but CGC consensus now reports 3. Interestingly, a 9.4 copy sold in Sept 05 for $24. So, there's not enough data to get a reliable trend analysis going...

 

Bottom line, fairly decent price for a modern 9.8! Congrats!!
