Also, I have the pleasure of helping Esao Andrews sell his original painted artwork to the Witch's Tale story in the Fables OGN "1001 Nights of Snowfall". Each page is 9" x 14", oil paint on 1/4" birch wood...and truly breathtaking. Esao was originally slated to be the Fables cover artist if James Jean had elected to pass on the job, so it's nice to finally see his considerable talents applied to these characters. Where are the rest of the pages ? - Why is it whenever you post stuff for sale that there are gaps in what's there...? - Now, I know it's not because they are SOLD, because you list items that are "new", but have already sold. -

 

Does the aritst or inker keep material for themselves ? - And where are the covers ? -

 

Just being curious...

Hi Mike,

 

Sandra (the inker) gets pages 1-8 of this issue. Mike Turner has been doing the covers, though I believe Ed will be doing the cover for issue 7.

does ed send off the original pencils to get inked or are they scans?

Ed sends his pencils away when they are inked outside of the studio.

 

I don't know about Turner...I was under the impression that he sold a lot of his work...?
