Exactly right Jason. There will be a place for people to submit their books to CGC and they will be shipped down for grading and encapsulation then shipped back.

Is there (will there) be a different submission form to fill out? So, all standard fees/ postage/ insurance/ costs still apply, I expect?

Sorry for the noobie questions, but this seems like a solid opportunity for me to finally get some of my own items graded! 893crossfingers-thumb.gif

NICE -- Kevin, thanks for the info, but will I need to fill out something in advance, or is the paperwork done on-site? Will someone hold my hand through this 27_laughing.gif... I'm frightened... shy.gif

... of course, I appreciate any and all additional info that you might be able to provide me. hail.gif

You can fill out the paperwork online if you like, but we can guide you through the paperwork at the show as well. Flyers, submission forms, information on Canadian return shipping, etc. will be available at the event.

OK great, I'll start to pull together some books and investigate the on-line paperwork!

Looks like it's time to cash-in some Hotel Points = Toronto Hilton, here I come! grin.gif

Kevin, thanks for putting up w/ me! shy.gif

No problem - except please take note that the March 25th convention is at the HOLIDAY INN on King Street - 370 King Street West, about 4 blocks west of University Avenue on the North side of King Street. Regency ballroom is one floor up from the main level.

Thanks,

Kev

so there's going to be a cgc booth there?

how does submitting books there work? i usually deal with cgc dealers, but it would be cool to deal directly with cgc. any info on how to prepare for submitting books in person would be great

I will be there to walk you thru the process with the CGC forms and pricing. Submissions are in US dollars, but I will be using that day's exchange rate for Canadian billing, and you can pay by either cash (Canadian $) or your credit card will be billed by CGC in US$ (when the books arrive in Florida) and your credit card company will do the conversion for you).

I'll have forms, brochures, information on Canadian shipping options, etc.

Through a strange coincidence I'll be in town that day. If I can convice by significant other to tear herself away from shopping I will be stopping in for an hour or two.

Hope to meet some of you folks face to face.

Ubie X
