I was really happy today - found a very nice Tales to Astonish 57 (relatively early Spiderman crossover) and Detective 400 (1st Man-Bat) at my LCS - both issues had really good looking front covers, supple pages, and were very fairly priced. Back cover creases, (which don't really bother me in mid-grade books) kept the prices down from the stratosphere. I had even found a parking place right outside the shop with about 10 minutes on the meter - life is good. I bought both books, chatted just a bit, and left, very pleased with my visit.

 

Then I went over to my car. I was the proud possessor of a parking ticket by 2 minutes...
