How bad is that ding in the upper corner of the spine? It looks pretty apparent on the scan of the back.

 

Also, the white behind the issue number and price looks a bit tan, but that could be the scanner.

 

I don't know, but the colors don't seem to pop on the scan. I'd lean toward it not coming back 9.4, if that's what your asking.

Hard to tell... could be the scan?? but is there some staining under the E and the N

 

in the cover title: X-MEN

With a modern like this, those dings in the upper corners with the spine nicks would probably make this one come back a 9.0 at best

Also look at the top & bottom edges (bottom hard to tell in the scan) around a 9.0

That top edge really brings it down. 8.5.
