Bought back in the early 80's... Cap #100

Back around 1982, my LCS was having a big sale. I got this Cap #100 for $2 (as it was 80% off) Over the last number of years, I may have been to harsh on this one. What do you think? I'll chime in with what I've considered it for decades so as not to bias it.

I'm not so good with the mid-grades, but I would say 6.0/6.5

The top left, right and bottom right FC corners hurt some, & 6 spine creases FC, soiling (and is that someone's name written on the top of the BC?)...5.5

Scan looked like it...still 5.5 - stretch a 6.0

Yeah, it does kind of faintly appear like a signature.

I have always considered this one a VG 4.0 but I took a look at it again and wondered if I was being to hard on it. Some of my books I graded so long ago and since joining here have realized that I may have over-graded some but under-graded others. When I re-checked this yesterday, I thought it might be closer to a 6.0. I would say it wasn't a strong 6.0 but the colors still are sharp.

 

Overall, not a bad buy for $2.
