What would get you to sell your most prized comics?

47 posts in this topic

I got a 1973 lotus for $12,000 once, and another time a 1972 Ford Pantera for a song, an 1984 1.5 million dollar ferrari (288 gto) would do it for my comics, still holding a couple sentimentals back but nothing $$. Soooo my estate would probably enjoy the fruits of my efforts of the last 27 years.. And rightly so, I'm a cad.

hello all...

A few years ago, I passed on the only opportunity I have had at a 288, and it was 250K...just couldn't pull the trigger at that time, but today, if the same offer was made, it would be a done deal and the comics would go!...however, that said, I would start reaccumulating those books as I could, so eventually, I would have the best of both worlds!

hello all...

I have often thought what "item(s)" out there would mean more to me to own, than the comics from the hobby I love...I can only think of one thing that would get me to sell my most prized comics ...and that is a 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO...that is about it...outside of that, I can't readily think of anything that I would want to sell my collection for (short of financial hardship, etc)....

curious about my fellow board members' thoughts...

Kubert war covers

Heath war covers

And in a larger rest of my life kind of thing, probably a home or vacation house on Cape Cod cloud9.gif

Interesting answers. I inherited my collection without an interest. after a decade I looked at them.

I found these boards and have mixed reviews. I found that in fact I like the Tecs. Of which I have 400 to 700 In my collection. I can part with the rest easily. I am 44 yrs of age and now 85 months from debt free.

So Rick you have some of those Tecs for sale?

hello all...

not from my personal collection (unless the offer is too good to pass up) smile.gif....I already sold all my extra copies (2 copies of tec 29, 2 copies of tec 30, 2 copies of tec 31, a tec 34 and 2 copies of tec 35), but I am always upgrading/downgrading and accumulating, so if I have any more, I will post...
