Superboy #74

Last one I was going to post, nice superboy #74. Pretty much in the same shape as the others I have. Just trying to decide whether I should send them in for grading, or just leave them in storage for now.

 

 

 

 

Isn't it amazing how well the interiors hold up on these. Printed on cheap paper and after so many years still look really good. Paper is still suple and not brittle at all.

If thats "tape" pulls or such on the cover then I would say 3.0

 

I would not sent them in, just bags and boards.

 

Not good enough shape to recoup the grading cost but still good books.

I'd say 5.0 too. nice books.. but not worth sending in to grade at this level. Keep them in nice mylar if you want solid protection and you can still read 'em

4.5 - 5.0. Save your money and don't grade it. If nothing else that's a book worth reading! So stick to a bag & board or if you want a mylar.

That's pretty much what I've decided.

 

Not sure what you meant by "tape" but no tape on any of the comics I have.

If you're referring to the gray spots on the left, I'm not sure what those are from.

I'd lean more towards the 4.0 - 4.5

4.5 - the comic has a fair market value of around $15 - so not worth having slabbed at all.

These are always tough to find at shows

the dealers don't want to lug around inexpensive books...

can't beat the simple stories and clean artwork
