Always liked these sketch variants...

I think that this was Turner at his peek, well this and his work on Soulfire.

 

This cover was one of the reasons I picked up the series cloud9.gif

 

I couldn't agree more and I thought some of these early Michael Turner covers in this series were incredible. IMO when he stopped doing most of the covers they sure dropped off the quality a bit.
