Theagenes
That is SO much nicer than the one I had, Jeff, I'm so happy for you ! Thanks Sharon! Yeah, no creepy fascist scribblings on this one - just distributor scribblings.

Scrooge
Some Feebay wins: It's funny b/c I just bought an early Dell book, The Comics # 4 from July 1937, making it officially the oldest book in my collection -

I am being cautiously optomistic about these. I really paid very little for these items. If they come back in the right condition and resto free, i will be going

selegue
Some Feebay wins: These are great, but the Slapstick tops them all! I think this is Munson Paddock, based on a discussion (here?) a while back. What a great, crazy cover. You mentioned being "cautiously optimistic" about no restoration. These oddball books are a lot less likely to be restored than (pricier) superhero books, aren't they? Jack
selegue
Black Diamond Western, Lev Gleason, Feb 1951. Frenetic Biro cover dominated by that @#$% logo taking over half the space. The book is well indexed at GCD -- looks like the stories are mostly one-man efforts by William Overgard. Quirky but not bad artwork. Interesting PSA about giving your teacher an appreciation party signed by Fasang. The topper is a great Bingbang Buster story by Basil Beanery Wolverton! I believe the artwork was done by Howie Post, but am not positive.

Theagenes
frazetta. Frazetta and Williamson. I love their work together! One of my favorite covers. It's funny how the chick's "80s Hair" looks futuristic for the 50s.
