Theagenes Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Two recent arrivals to share. The Tip Top comes from our own Blind Owl (Thanks Joe!). My first Tarzan Tip Top Comics # 4. Wish the scanner didn't wash out the colors like it does, the book is so much brighter in hand. Probably my favorite cover of the run! And this is one the nicest copies I've seen. Never noticed this one before! yeah, in the gerbers the fox books dry up across all titles after july '40. BUT, they get cool again awhile later, so don't give up your bathroom perusal when they become all red/yellow/blue and extremely unremarkable in aug. '40--hang in there and a comeback of sorts will be made. of course they're little bitty in the gerber, so go over to gcd and check out the fantastic, mystery men, weird and wonderworld titles; the sciences' didn't hang around long enuff to get good again. Here's one I think people forgot to bid on because I was surpised I won it. Best $250 I've spent in a long time.
