For those who might have missed it, here's a pic of the interior of Bonnett's circa 1941 -

 

Man...............to only have a time machine............. :cloud9:

......so we could take away their stamps and inkpads. :whistle:

By weird coincidence . . I pulled this out of the collection yesterday and read it.

I was thinking 'Bonnetts . . Bonnetts . . where have I seen that stamp before?'

 

Today, this thread got a bump . .

And Harold Bonnett (founder?) early on from Bonnett's blog. The post notes that he would've been 95 in 2008, and since Bonnett's opened in 1939 he would've been 26 then. He's obviously a young man here so this is very early on.

Not sure if this will satisfy you, Mike, but it's the best I can do. I posted my lone Bonnets book a while back but I did run across this ad in an old RBCC that I was going through the other day. Notice the text - "Many carry our store stamp." BTW, on the opposing page was a buy list from Passaic Book Center.
