Yes, it's been confirmed. The show is expanding into the second room. Anyone who attended the Oct. 2005 two-day show with Adam Hughes & J.G. Jones as guests might remember that as the room with the giant pirate ship in it. Sorry, I don't have a dealer list, but I'll see about trying to get one from the promoter.

Comic Book Show Promoter Christian Miller and artist David Finch

The Comic Book Show and David Finch Back the Hero Initiative

NASHUA, NH - The Comic Book Show and superstar artist David Finch, with the help of hundreds of local fans, recently raised money to help support the Hero Initiative, a charitable organization dedicated to assisting veteran comic book creators in medical or financial need.

Convention organizers produced an exclusive, limited-edition print illustrated by Finch. Fans of the artist snatched up copies of the print at the April 1st show, eager to support the creators of yesteryear, those whose immeasurable impact in the industry seldom translated into any lasting financial security.

"I have been a big fan of ACTOR/The Hero Initiative for a while now," said Christian Miller, Director of Promotions for The Comic Book Show. "I think it's important to support the groundbreaking talent that have helped to make comics what they are today. Without them, who knows what comics would be like?"

Miller also praised Finch's participation in this special project. "Special thanks to David for providing the art to create the print," he said. "Without him, none of this would have been possible. And a very special thanks to the fans who bought the print, in which 100-percent of the proceeds went directly to the Hero Initiative."

The next edition of The Comic Book Show will be held at the Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH, on Sunday, Oct. 14. Past guests have included Bernie Wrightson, Adam Hughes, J.G. Jones, Ed McGuinness, Dexter Vines, Peter Laird, Mark Texeira, Eric Powell, Joe Jusko, and many more. For additional information, please check out the show's web site at www.thecomicshow.com. The exclusive David Finch print was only available at the April 1st show and will not be offered again, but be sure to join the e-mail list for updates on future special offers and shows.
