I think those are the comics Gary. It just looks like the window aperture on the top shelf is too small to display the entire cover. Those ARE decoupage boxes I made out of the covers. It won't hurt the value of the comics, will it?
Ivanko
Plans for custom construction home: 1. Gourmet kitchen 2. Home Theatre room 3. Game room 4. Secret hidden room to store comics. Now, where's a contractor? Side note-- As a real estate appraiser, I have seen two hidden rooms in my years of appraising: one was a humidor to protect his collectable vintage cigar collection (mostly pre-embargo Cubans) and the other was a hidden master suite behind a bookcase. NEITHER of those impressed me as much as BZ's room!!!

FFB
Hey Bangzoom, How many books total in your entire collection, roughly? That is a great picture. There's too many to count. Can you ballpark it to within a few thousand books? What is the scope of your collection in terms of time periods represented, publishers, etc.? On a related note, did tb's post completely scare you away from posting scans? Or is the ol' scanner still on the fritz? If it is the latter, I could probably take up a collection here on the boards and we'd be able to buy you a new, top-of-the-line scanner in about five minutes. BangZoom
Can you ballpark it to within a few thousand books? I've never given it a thought. What is the scope of your collection in terms of time periods represented, publishers, etc.? All publishers On a related note, did tb's post completely scare you away from posting scans? Or is the ol' scanner still on the fritz? If it is the latter, I could probably take up a collection here on the boards and we'd be able to buy you a new, top-of-the-line scanner in about five minutes. I have an old scanner. It takes approximately 5 minutes to scan 1 cover. Too much waiting around. I'd rather just take a photo. 1-2-3 its over and done with.
