adamstrange
That's the most beautiful group shot you've posted yet, BZ! Most of the copies look brand new -- if it was anyone else posting I'd swear they were reprints.

I have loved all of the beautiful GA scans, but I think this is the pic that has impressed me the most. I am speechless. Simply wonderful. Socratic Wonder
BZ, since you're rolling out the Tecs now, is there any chance you might post some pre-Batman issues (1-26)? Absolutely Thanks. I'm looking forward to it! ...Me too!!!!

MrBedrock
BTW, I didn't see a Tarzan and the Golden Lion in there. That is the one I'm missing. Is it hidden in a pile? If you could put it front and center I will trade you a post of my favorite Tarzan piece. I think you will like it. (And it ain't a funnybook!) BZ, please ignore the goofy looking guy at left but keep in mind I, er, he is 6 ft. 5 in. This is a HUGE Jeff Jones Tarzan painting done as a commission after he did a calendar of Tarzan images in the late '90s. I got it indirectly through Heritage a few years back. Before getting it I thought comics were the be all and end all. But now I get to wake up every day and stare at this! So there you go....some All-Story please! Bronty
very cool! For my own collector curiosity since I know nothing about burroughs, I did a little research and yowza it looks like BZ's books might be more valuable than a lot of the comics! I guess that's only appropriate, really, they are older and rarer, but not being a collector of them it came as a bit of a shock! Seems like a lot of them would be five figures in that kind of shape with dust jacket - yowch! BZ excuse the mercenary interest in the filthy lucre but to me it is very interesting to know where this market, or any collectibles market, is at. congrats on another impressive collection. No, apparently the person who commissioned it went through a divorce (can you imagine?) and had to sell it. My plan is to get a new place and build a library around it. BangZoom
WOW! THAT PAINTING WOULD BE PERFECT FOR MY JUNGLE ROOM. Oh wait, I don't have a jungle room. Richard, the painting is fantastic. Congratulations on having such a phenomenal piece of artwork. I never would have imagined that Jones would consider working that large. Impressive is an understatement. MrBedrock
Thanks BZ. Thought you might like it. Actually Jones' two most known pieces, "Age of Innocence" and "Blind Narcissus" are each as tall but not as wide. The guy who owns "Age of Innocence" lives here in Houston and I must say it is the most impressive piece of comic or fantasy related original art I have ever seen in my life. Stunning, and could comfortably hang in any museum and not look out of place.

The only large poster I have up is a Superman 3-sheet from the 1948 serial. It hangs right behind my computer desk so I'm always looking at it. The room doubles as our spare bedroom so it gets some interesting comments sometimes.
