Scrooge
Wasn't this drawn by Anderson? Beautiful splash, regardless. Yes, indeed and I thought every one would like it and therefore I already had a follow-up prepared. Enjoy -

Scrooge
I don't think I've posted a Guardineer story in a few days. For those of you in withdrawal, here's an interesting one. You'll remember it's basically the same plot as a previous one and it's not much of one at that. Me ... I don't care since it gives us the chance to see Guardineer's vision of Borneo, same as the previous one gave us the chance to see Guardineer's vision of Russia -
Scrooge
So, a while ago I posted this full page splash for BZ's list - Well ... what would you know, a Batman's artist is never one to let a good layout go to waste!

skypinkblu
I LOVE Planets, the colors on the covers are just spectacular, these are my newest acquisitions, thanks to a very nice person. Sharon, I didn't realize you collected Planet Comics, too. Great looking books you have there. I didn't recognize the cover to #8. You'd think after looking at the Photo-Journal and various websites so often that I'd have all the comics memorized by now. Thanks Bangzoom : I have a quite a few Planets, but they are in various stages of disrepair, ...That #8, is scarce, I think...I got that set from a very nice person, who also sold me some Science books...most of the others I have are later versions...I love books with brilliant colors, I'm not JUST a Wonder Woman collector,..that was only an accident, and I got hooked:) I don't usually post my covers, I just enjoy admiring everyone else's cloud9: ...but it's a lot of fun on some of these threads, and thanks:) Edited September 6, 2007 by skypinkblu
skypinkblu
[ way to go Sharon! beautiful books. can't tell you how much i prefer the original logo to the one that came on in the 20's. Thanks, Billy !
adamstrange
You'll remember it's basically the same plot as a previous one That story took place on a sailboat while this one took place on a motor launch. Entirely different. Thanks for posting. If anything I like the art on this one better -- he seems to have opened up a bit and made excellent use of large panels. BangZoom
Scrooge, thanks for posting these last two stories. I've always enjoyed stories of exploration and adventuring, whether they be here on earth or on other planets ala Star Pirate. My collecting of movie posters follows the along in the same vein. Here are two rare Martin Johnson movie posters from 1918.
