BB-Gun
Jack, Here are a couple of scans to fill the time. BZ is probably working on that Ditko thread. The interior art for Dickie varied in quality I think but the stories were still strange. bb

The pages here, esp. the splash, are nicely drawn. Some of the later Dicky stories (the few that I've seen) seem much more primitive. Jack

BangZoom
BZ, Check AE73 for a long article on Biro and some Zip scans on page 18. bb Alter Ego? I'll have to check eBay for back issues. The last copy I saw was # 10, along about 1970.
BangZoom
Don't forget the important part: Are we going to get to see Dicky? "Whip" him out, BZ! Oh, you mean the comic strip? I have scans of them around here somewhere. I'll check the closets and under the rug.

BB-Gun
BZ, Issue 73 is a fairly recent issue of Alter Ego. I think 74 may be out now or soon. I was happy to recently get a copy of issue 5 of the original series and scans of 7 which completed the first 11 issue run. I enjoyed the early issues and the nice art by Biljo White and Ron Foss but the new issues by Roy are filled with juicy histories of the artists and their recollection of the Golden Age. If you aren't reading it, then give it a chance. The only complaint that I have is that the issues aren't in color like the old CBM. But the articles have more depth and I think they are more accurately written. Good stuff. BB

skypinkblu
Bill , if *I* had a magic whip, I might have been tempted to use it on another thread, ..as it was, I think I might need an aspirin instead after reading it:) but I kept quiet:) It's nice and peaceful here:) From Jumbo 13, as per BangZoom's request for some photos:)
