That Everett splash is spectacular Scrooge!

The THIN MAN story looks really cool too...

Do you happen to know the source of those? I think the Everett illustration is from an early MYSTIC COMICS.

As always, great posts Scrooge!

Did you ever notice that Everett's work looks a lot like Blake, an artist that dropped out of sight about the same time Everett came to the fore. hm

;)

Gee you might be onto something there  It might even be the same guy who drew the cover for Dickie Dare # 1.

Ryan - Thin Man and the Everett illo are from Mystic # 4. (thumbs u

How about another crazy Fox story. The book this is from also has 2 Hanks stories. I just can't imagine how a child back then would have reacted to all this crazy weirdness :screwy:

Well, with a cover like this one, I wouldn't be too worried about how kids reacted to the stories...

That's one of the few covers that I can recall seeing Roosevelt pictured.

Sounds like some good trivia. hm What other FDR covers are there?

Do you think if I had a Mystic # 8 graded that I could request CGC to note on the label: "Cannonball to the groin panel" in the notes section? :insane:

The Stan Lee byline is worth the price of admission :applause:
