BB-Gun
Pulps are usually pretty violent but even Lulu had her moments. And what were they thinking with this Human Torch splash? Edited April 29, 2008 by BB-Gun
BangZoom
Pulps are usually pretty violent but even Lulu had her moments. Lulu must've gotten fresh with the doll.
BB-Gun
That Human Torch splash was from MMC 2 but if I had been there at the time and compared that splash to the Thunderer I would have suggested that Daring would have a long run with it's star character. bb

BangZoom
Vince, do you have a scan to the splash of the Hangman story? That's a good one.
BangZoom
oh, and in case you didn't know... So...Rick...may...possibly...perhaps...have an interest in this issue of AMF? I better make a notation in my Big Book of Useful Information.
adamstrange
This issue also features a story, Cargo of Coffins, by L. Ron Hubbard, who is the founder of the Church of Scientology. Great catch on the Argosy/Centaur connection. I'm sure there are lots more still to be discovered. The painting on that Argosy cover is sweet! Whether it was Giant Killer Frogs, Snails, Bloody skulls, Nazis or Mother Goose, the Hangman was always interesting and sometimes spectacular, especially by Fuje. bb ps Thanks for the scans Shawn. rjpb
A number of the covers for Liberty and Roly Poly were swiped from MLJ splash pages. I remember Shield posting a bunch of them a few years ago.
The Black Hand ®
That Roly Poly 14 is a pretty sought after book, just on the strength of that cover.
BangZoom
Tonight's cartoon is from a young man who says he'd like to make his mark in the world as an artist some day.
