latest Nightcrawler story interesting?

Why isn't he a mutant? His mother is a mutant. So he's at least half mutant and your not quite sure about his father yet so I'd say that it's too early to say he is or isn't a mutant yet.

Surely this flys in the face of everything that made the character who he was. Basically a rightous god worshiping man who had a demon-like 'appearance', but was in reality about as far away from being a demon as you can get.
