Montclair Art Museum - Help

The Montclair Art Museum, a prestigious NE institution has committed

to preparing a show based on the comic medium. This is a natural

progression of the highly successful Masters Of American Comics

which recently ran cross country. Several high end collectors and

professionals have already committed to the show including Joe

Kubert and his family and Michael Uslan Executive Producer of the

Batman movie franchise and a major collector in his own right. The

museum is well along in their mission. However, they are in need of

several specific comic books to complete their goal. I am appealing

to the art community on their behalf.

The show will run for several months and those who agree to lend

items will be credited and be invited to the premier. Full insurance

and security is provided by the museum. I have been very impressed

during my meetings with those involved and have agreed to lend

numerous items. If you have any of the books listed below (chosen

specifically for the social significance of either the cover or

story) or know anyone else who can help. Please contact Gail

Stavitsky at the email below or reply to me and I will pass it

along.

Hi all,

I have been working with Gail and the museum for several months, and wholeheartedly back the exhibit. I, too, will be lending several pieces of original comic art to the exhibit, and encourage others to do the same.
