Questionable Page Quality!

Just noticed this book on Heritage's Web-Site.

 

As you can see, two corners on the back cover have chipped away and it is easy to see the page color.

 

Now, I have sent some books to CGC that have got the dread "Cream to Off-White" page quality, but they didn't look ANYTHING like this: 893whatthe.gif

To me, that's starting to get into the BBQ Flavor Potato Chip color . 27_laughing.gif

my copy had the exact same chip on the upper left back corner. I wonder if it was from the printer's? Thats the 3rd back cover i've seen and they all had it. Mine was the black variant too. From the front it looked VF with off white pages, but that damn corner.......

As you can see, two corners on the back cover have chipped away and it is easy to see the page color.

 

Paper in those chipped areas has been exposed to oxygen and light, so they are probably darker than the rest of the pages. Those corners are also affected by dust/sun shadows.
